Canada | Centre for Suicide Prevention
Buddy Up is a men’s suicide prevention communications campaign: a call to action to men, by men. In Canada, men have a suicide rate three times higher than women. Why? We have socialized men to be strong, stoic and self-reliant; showing emotion is a sign of weakness, as is asking for help. Further, men are underserved by our traditional health and social service sectors. Men are dying in alarming numbers, all around us, alone. How can we change this reality?
With your support, we’ve donated $10,000 to the Buddy Up campaign.

It all started in Entrepreneurship 30 class when Co-Presidents Tayson Smith and Logan Curle were brain storming ideas on a business to start. Thats when they thought of Turning Point and the thought of raising money and awareness for suicide prevention because mental health can affect anyone.
